I have a question about toning lasers.

I am very worried about the increasing melasma and dull skin tone these days, so I am considering a toning laser.

I have been consistently applying Vitamin C serum and whitening cream for home care, but the dark pigmentation around my eyes and cheekbones did not go away and seemed to be getting darker, so I eventually started seriously looking into toning laser treatments at a dermatology clinic.
I am seeking your advice because I have a few concerns since I have very little experience with laser treatments. First, I would like to know how many sessions are typically required and at what intervals to see noticeable results from pigment lasers like Pico Toning or Laser Toning.
Also, I am scared because I have heard from people around me that if toning is done incorrectly, it can lead to side effects such as hyperpigmentation, where melasma becomes darker, or worsening of melasma.
Are there any specific precautions I should take before and after the procedure to prevent such side effects?
Finally, I am also concerned about whether it will interfere with my daily life. I am wondering if redness or scabs will form immediately after the procedure, causing difficulties with going to work or applying makeup, or if it is possible to wash my face and apply makeup right on the same day.
I would appreciate it if those who have received toning lasers for similar skin concerns or those who can provide professional advice could share their vivid reviews and tips.
