Can keratosis pilaris also be treated with a laser?
I've had a little bit of it since I was young, but lately, perhaps because my skin has become drier, the bumpy, goosebump-like rash has gotten much worse. In particular, the backs of my forearms and thighs feel rough to the touch rather than smooth.
I kept worrying about it, so I tried using body scrubs and even exfoliating with an exfoliating towel while showering, but perhaps because it irritated the skin, the redness only got worse and I even developed itching. I heard that moisturizing is important, so even when I slather on cream or body lotion after washing, it only feels hydrated for a brief moment, and the bumpy texture or red discoloration shows no signs of improvement at all.
Now that the weather is getting warmer, I get secretly self-conscious and stressed out whenever I wear short sleeves or short clothes, worrying that others might see me.
I am wondering if laser treatment is possible for keratosis pilaris. I would like to inquire if the discoloration or uneven texture can be improved, even if not completely cured.
