My leg skin feels bumpy after shaving. Would laser hair removal help?
I shave frequently because of my leg hair, but I am concerned because after shaving, instead of my skin becoming smooth, the pores often look dark or bumpy. In particular, my calves become prickly as soon as the hair starts growing, and sometimes there are red bumps that look like the hair is growing inward, so I am looking into laser hair removal.
What I'm wondering is not just about reducing hair, but whether consistent laser hair removal can also lessen pores that look like these black spots or ingrown hairs. I'm also curious if it helps to some extent with hyperpigmentation caused by irritation from shaving.
I would also like to know if the results of full leg hair removal differ between the calves, where the hair is thick, and the thighs, which are relatively thin. My skin tends to dry out and get irritated easily; I would like to inquire if laser hair removal is suitable for this type of skin, and how best to moisturize and exfoliate before and after the procedure.
