Is it effective for treating melasma even if the skin tone itself is dull?
I am concerned about the brownish tint around my cheeks, but I am more worried that my overall skin tone looks duller than before, so I am looking into melasma treatment.
It’s not just specific pigmentation that is clearly visible; the skin around my cheeks and nose feels generally unclear.
So I am confused about whether I need to get treatment for melasma or if I need to manage my skin tone separately.
In this case, to what extent can I expect the treatment to be effective for melasma?
I am curious whether melasma treatment is performed only on the confirmed melasma areas, or if the surrounding skin tone is also taken into account during management.
I would like to know if you assess my overall skin tone as well as the pigmentation during the consultation for melasma treatment. Rather than becoming too bright, I want the dullness and unevenness to be slightly evened out.
