I am curious about the effectiveness of melasma treatment and the differences between it and other pigment lasers.

I looked into pigmentation treatments, and there are so many types that I don't know what criteria to use to choose a treatment for melasma.

My concern is the faint brownish tint spreading across my cheeks and cheekbones, but when I search online, various treatments like toning and blemish lasers come up, which actually makes me more confused.

I’ve heard that melasma needs to be managed differently from regular blemishes, so I’m worried about getting just any laser treatment without careful consideration.

I am curious how the melasma treatment works on this type of skin.

Is there a difference in laser intensity or procedure between melasma treatment and general blemish treatments?

I would also like to know if, during the consultation for melasma treatment, you identify the type of pigmentation I currently have and select the appropriate procedure. Rather than choosing a specific piece of equipment, I would like to make a decision tailored to my skin condition.
