A light brown spot resembling a stain has appeared on the upper part of my cheekbones and just won't go away. At first, I thought it was just a blemish, but it is quite large for a blemish and is getting darker and more distinct, so I suspect it is melasma. Now that summer is over, I think it is an appropriate time to get melasma treatment. I am curious about the treatment methods available and what types of lasers are used. I would also like to know if the laser used for melasma treatment is the same equipment used for treating blemishes. Besides melasma, I also have small blemishes like moles and freckles, and I would like to have them removed along with the melasma treatment. If the methods for melasma and blemish treatment are different and the procedures are performed separately, I would like to know if it is possible to have the blemish removal procedure immediately after the melasma treatment. Also, how many treatment sessions are typically required to see results for melasma?
