My skin looks the worst after washing my face. Why is that?
When I look in the mirror immediately after washing my face in the morning or evening, the skin texture around my nose and cheeks is rougher than usual, and my pores are more noticeable. However, after applying my basic skincare products and letting some time pass, my skin becomes moisturized and looks relatively better.
I'm wondering if it looks that way simply because my skin lacks moisture after washing, or if my skin barrier isn't in good condition.
Even though I tend to avoid products with strong cleansing power, I keep having this feeling, so I'm wondering if I should change my facial cleansing routine.
Is it possible for pores and skin texture to become temporarily more pronounced as the skin dries out?
Given my condition, I am wondering if it is appropriate to review my cleansing and moisturizing habits before looking into treatments, and if a dermatologist can also discuss these basic care methods.
