What ratio should I allocate to home care versus dermatological treatments?
While looking into dermatological procedures, I heard a lot about how daily home care is just as important as the treatment itself, so I am curious.
For concerns that require consistent care, such as pores around the nose or skin texture on the cheeks, is regular treatment at a dermatologist sufficient, or do I need to change the products I use at home as well to maintain the effects?
I don't tend to use many products in a multi-step routine; I just consistently apply moisturizer and sunscreen after cleansing. I'm also cautious because I'm worried that adding a lot of new products at once might make my skin sensitive.
When I have my initial consultation, would it be possible to have my current home care methods reviewed as well, in addition to receiving treatment recommendations?
I want to find a realistic way to maintain my condition without relying too heavily on either dermatological care or daily routine care.
