hello.
I'm writing to ask because I'm thinking of getting some skin care for my adult acne.
I used to have some acne and have received treatment at a dermatologist, but it seems to come back if I don't take consistent care of it. Lately, in particular, I've been getting a lot of small bumps on my chin and cheeks. It's not extremely severe, but it's stressful that my skin doesn't look clear because one or two keep popping up.
At home, I only do cleansing and basic skincare, and occasionally use a soothing mask. I'm not sure if I should be doing things like extractions or peeling, or if it's better to just focus on soothing care.
I looked it up and found there are so many types of treatments, such as aqua peel, skin scaling, PDT, and skin boosters. I think I need to get a consultation first to figure out which one is right for my skin.
I'm worried that receiving treatment while I have acne might actually irritate my skin further. Would it be okay to receive consistent care at a dermatology clinic for this type of skin? I'm also curious about the typical consultation process and what treatments are usually started during a first visit!
