Does anyone know the recommended number of acne treatments?
I never had skin trouble even during my school days, but as I got older, small bumps kept popping up around my chin and cheeks, and now they are developing into red, painful, extractable acne. I have tried changing my diet and using every cosmetic product that is supposed to be good, but the cycle repeats: it subsides for a while, only to flare up again immediately when my condition is poor.
In the end, I gave up on home care and decided to go to a hospital to receive professional acne treatment in earnest. There are various treatment programs available, such as scaling, anti-inflammatory injections, and Gold PTT, so I am half hopeful and half worried, wondering if consistent treatment will actually stop the recurrences.
Has anyone here seen results in sebum control or improvement in breakouts after consistently receiving acne treatment at a dermatology clinic? I would appreciate some realistic advice from those with experience regarding the recommended number of sessions or duration typically needed for the sebaceous glands to stabilize and for you to feel the effects.
