Is scaling effective for inflammatory acne on the chin of men?
Hello, I am a male office worker.
I am stressed because inflammatory acne keeps breaking out under my chin and around my mouth since I shave every day. I have tried disinfecting the razor and changing the blades frequently, but the hard, lumpy acne just won't go away.
I am planning to see a dermatologist because squeezing pimples leaves scars and causes hyperpigmentation. I am wondering if treatments typically performed at a dermatology clinic, such as acne scaling or extraction management, are effective for relieving inflammation on my chin.
Would it be better to just get a prescription, or would it be better to receive a procedure like a sebaceous gland destroying laser treatment as well? I would appreciate any advice or honest reviews or tips from those who are currently managing their chin acne while receiving treatment.
