My cheeks are breaking out with red, cystic acne. Can I go for a scaling treatment? ㅠㅠ
I think it's because I haven't been sleeping properly lately and fatigue has built up, but my jaw and the lower part of my face around my mouth have flared up with red, painful, pustular acne bumps. It hurts even if I just brush against it while washing my face, and the burning sensation is so intense that I absolutely can't go out without makeup. I'm worried that if I try to squeeze them with my hands, I'll 100% end up with pitted scars or dark discoloration, so I'm looking into seeking help from a dermatologist. I want to get regular full-course acne treatment that includes sebum extraction, scaling, and anti-inflammatory injections, but will it be really effective for someone like me with chronically sensitive skin that suddenly broke out with adult breakouts? I'm curious how many sessions it usually takes for my skin to clear up. Please leave some advice if you have experience receiving treatment at a dermatology clinic.
