If only the surrounding area turns red after removing an acne patch, does the skin trouble management change?

Scheduled branch to visit: Maypure Hwajeong Branch

I am wondering if the usage method for patches, which are applied to avoid touching breakouts, needs to be adjusted depending on the skin condition. How can I distinguish between the redness of the acne itself and the redness where the patch touched? I am asking because if the area surrounding the breakout appears round and red rather than the center, I don't think I should determine the management method based solely on the existing acne.

Should I mention during the consultation that the skin becomes briefly red and experiences itching or stinging after removing the patch? I would also like to know if it is important information whether I applied it to the same spot multiple times or how long I left it on. I am also curious if bringing the name of the product I used or the details on the packaging would be helpful. Since it is just a small patch, it is easy to use without thinking, but it seems there are quite a few things to check.

I would like to know how to differentiate between acne management and surrounding skin care, especially when my skin feels tight after applying and removing the patch during dry seasons. You might want to cover up blemishes, but you might also hesitate about whether it is right to keep applying the patch to the reddened area. In such cases, I would like to receive advice on whether I should switch patches or stop using them to check my skin condition first.

I am also wondering if it is acceptable to determine when to replace the patch simply by looking at how the inside has turned white. If the instructions vary by product, what specific details should I ask the clinic about? I would like to know if I should mention any skincare products applied after cleansing or any products used on the acne-affected areas. I feel that using multiple products layered on top of each other would make it more difficult to explain what caused the discomfort.

When preparing photos, would it be better to include both the appearance with the patch applied and after removing it? While it would be better to show the original state rather than a photo where I have applied makeup to cover the redness, the color might have already faded by the time of the consultation. I am not asking for a judgment based solely on the photos; I would like to use them as reference material to explain the shape and extent of the discomfort.

I'm wondering if getting an acne consultation at the Hwajeong branch allows them to examine irritation around the blemishes as well. Before deciding whether extraction or other treatments are necessary, I want to know how to manage the condition without further irritating my skin. I would appreciate it if you could help me distinguish between changes I can observe at home and those that require immediate medical attention. It's easy to think that simply covering up the acne is enough, so this time I'd like to properly learn about the application process as well, haha.
