Now that I've entered my 30s, my pores aren't even covered up with makeup... Are pore treatments really effective?
Hello Maypure members, haha. Did everyone have a safe and good day today? I came home feeling incredibly heavy after wrestling with the kids at school all day. Maybe it's because the classrooms are so dry these days, but I get stressed every time I look in the mirror. Since I was born in '93, I'm heading towards my mid-thirties, and I'm painfully realizing that my skin's elasticity and recovery are on a completely different level compared to my twenties. In the past, even if I stayed up all night before work, it wouldn't be noticeable once I put on makeup, but now, if I go to bed even a little late the night before, my makeup cakes and it's a total mess the next morning.
My biggest concern these days is the noticeably enlarged pores around my nose and butterfly zone. Perhaps because I get hit directly by the blast of heater air in the classroom every day, my oil-moisture balance seems to have completely broken down. Even though I spend time carefully applying primer in the morning before going to work, when I look in the mirror after lunch—after eating school lunch—my foundation has settled into cake and broken down messily, giving me a severe reality check. I’ve tried using BHA-based cosmetics and sebum-dissolving oils at home, but they only make my skin smooth temporarily and don't provide a fundamental solution at all. In fact, my skin seems to be getting more sensitive, so I’ve reached the limit of home care and resolved to seek help from a dermatologist. I’m thinking of biting the bullet and getting a proper pore treatment, but I’m at a loss as to what to choose because there are so many types and clinics recommend different treatments. After lurking on the Maypure community board for a few days, I saw various reviews of pore treatments, and it seems the results vary widely because everyone has different skin types.
I am curious to know which pore treatment method would be best suited for skin like mine, which is severely dry from within and self-conscious about sagging in the butterfly zone. If I receive pore treatments consistently, can I definitely see the effect of my skin becoming as smooth as a peeled egg, just like in the advertisements? Even if I don't see dramatic changes, I would be thrilled if the creasing when applying makeup just decreased a little. Also, I tend to be a bit sensitive to pain; I desperately need firsthand advice from those who have experienced it regarding whether the treatment is tolerable with just the numbing cream, and whether it will interfere with my daily life or going to work the next day. Since this isn't a cheap procedure, and I am investing my time and money, I want to see definite results. I really want to succeed with the pore treatment this vacation so that I can confidently walk around without a mask when school starts. Please share your genuine reviews and recommendations! I hope you all achieve flawless skin and have a good night!!
