Can Pico Toning pigmentation become darker again?

I am writing to inquire because I am wondering if the pigmentation from Pico Toning could darken again.
Haha, I'm looking into Pico Toning because of my melasma and blemishes, but I'm a bit hesitant because people around me say that pigmentation can come back even with treatment. I haven't really been the type to be meticulous about sun protection, and my cheekbones always tend to get duller after the summer.
I understand that Pico Toning helps lighten existing pigmentation, but I am wondering if there is a high possibility it will darken again if I do not manage it properly afterward. I would also like to know what essential post-procedure care I must follow to minimize recurrence.
I will definitely apply sunscreen, but I am wondering if I need to do moisturizing or whitening treatments as well for the effects to last longer.
I would also like to ask if it is common to receive Pico Toning periodically as maintenance, even after some improvement has been seen.
