I'm really worried about my skin tone and blemishes with my wedding coming up. Is it okay to start laser treatment now?
I have a wedding coming up in about two months, and suddenly I’ve started getting really worried about my skin haha. Normally, I would have just let it slide, but after getting a makeup consultation and even taking photos, I realized that the small blemishes and dull skin tone on my face were more visible than I thought.
Especially compared to my neck, my face feels strangely patchy. It does cover up if I apply foundation a bit thicker, but since I want to keep my makeup as thin and natural as possible for the actual wedding, I want to improve my skin condition a little bit before then.
So I started looking into laser treatments, but what worries me is the possibility that my skin might break out if I start now.
With only about two months left, is it okay to start a laser treatment for the first time? Or would it be better to avoid treatments I haven't had before, especially before an important event?
If anyone has received laser treatments while preparing for a wedding, I am really curious to know when you usually started. I would also like to know if there was a difference in skin tone after just one or two months of treatment, or if I need to allow at least a few months for the sessions.
Rather than wanting to get rid of a single specific melasma, I would like my overall dull complexion to brighten up a bit and make the small blemishes on my cheeks less visible. In this case, if I just mention my concerns during the consultation, will you determine the appropriate laser treatment based on my skin?
I'm also curious how much time I should have left before getting the last procedure done right before the photoshoot or the actual wedding to ensure safety. I'm worried that if I get greedy and get it done right at the last minute, it would be really awkward if my makeup didn't apply well due to redness or peeling.
For those of you who actually started skincare because of an important schedule, what was your experience like? I'm curious if you felt that your makeup looked noticeably cleaner or that your skin tone became a bit more even in photos after receiving laser treatment!!
On the other hand, if there were any parts you felt you should have avoided rushing while preparing, please let me know about those as well. Since it's my first time, I'd like to plan with as much leeway as possible :)
