There is still some color remaining where I had a mole removed before. Is it okay to get laser treatment again?
I had a few moles removed from my face a few years ago, but one of them keeps bothering me.
When I first had the mole removed, I thought it had gone away completely, haha. The scab fell off naturally, and I went about my life without giving it much thought for a while, but after quite some time has passed, I noticed a light brown mark remaining in that spot.
I wonder if the spot has returned, but it isn't as black and distinct as the one I had before. It just looks about a shade darker than the surrounding skin. It's small, so I don't think others would notice it, but since I know where it is, I spot it every time I wash my face haha.
At first, I used to cover it up with concealer, but now it’s a hassle to apply makeup every time because of this, so I’m thinking about getting laser treatment again.
The problem is, looking at it, I have absolutely no idea if this is leftover pigment or if the spot is coming back up.
Even in such cases, do you not proceed with laser treatment immediately, but instead assess the condition first to determine the method?
Has anyone else experienced a brown mark remaining for a long time at the spot where a mole was removed, like mine, and tried additional care? I am also curious if you received a different laser treatment than the one used for the initial removal.
Since it is a spot I have touched before, I am worried about the possibility of scarring or the color becoming darker if I get laser treatment again. My skin isn't extremely sensitive, but when I get a wound, the marks tend to last a while.
I am also curious about the recovery process!! I would like to know if a scab forms again, or if the color just gradually fades without any visible signs on the surface.
I'm not dealing with multiple areas at once, but rather just one spot that I'm concerned about, so I'm wondering if there are people who get laser treatments in this kind of situation.
And after removing it, do I need to put on something like a healing tape? Since my job requires me to meet people frequently, I think I'll have to adjust my schedule if I have to walk around with something on my face for a long time.
