I'm planning to start laser hair removal on my philtrum and underarms, and I'm wondering about the treatment cycle!
Self-hair removal at home every day with a razor or tweezers is too much of a hassle, and I feel like it's damaging my skin, so I'm considering taking this opportunity to get laser hair removal at a dermatology clinic. I've tried waxing before, but it was painful, and because of the downside of getting ingrown hairs later, I think laser hair removal would be a much better option.
I am planning to start with my philtrum and underarms first. When getting laser hair removal, how should I usually schedule my sessions? I am wondering if going regularly once a month is the right approach, or if I should schedule appointments based on my hair growth rate. Also, if I sign up for a 5-session package, is there a definite advantage in making the hair thinner and preventing it from growing back, or do I need to receive at least 10 sessions consistently to see semi-permanent results? For those of you with experience with laser hair removal, I would appreciate it if you could share some tips on how many sessions are needed to get rid of even the fine vellus hairs!
