How should I change my skincare routine for dry and dull skin in late autumn?

With the wind getting colder in the mornings and evenings these days, I feel like the condition of my face has definitely changed. It's fine during the day, but when I wake up, my cheeks feel tight and dry skin starts to flak, and when I apply makeup, it feels like it clumps even when using the same products. In the summer, I was worried about excess oil, but now it feels like the opposite—I've become dehydrated.

So I'm thinking of changing my cleansing and moisturizing routine a bit, but I'm confused about where to start. I'm wondering if it's better to apply toner immediately after washing, how thickly I should apply cream, and if it's better to focus on intensive care only at night. I also have a habit of washing my face with hot water; should I avoid that in late autumn as well?

Another concern is dullness. During the change of seasons, my skin tone looks dark, and I've found that there are limits to covering it up with makeup. I've heard that I need to continue protecting myself from UV rays even in the fall, so I would like to know if I need to use sunscreen even when I am indoors.

If anyone else was struggling with skincare around the same time, I would really appreciate it if you could share your experiences on how you changed your routines. I am also curious whether basic care is sufficient at this stage, or if it is necessary to consult a professional. Please feel free to leave your comments.
