Should I squeeze out my whiteheads to get rid of them?
I rarely get red acne on my face, but I'm concerned about the small, raised whiteheads that keep appearing. They especially keep appearing on my forehead and chin, making my skin look uneven. I cleanse thoroughly and exfoliate occasionally, but they just won't go away. I've read online that lifestyle changes, dietary changes, and home care products can help get rid of whiteheads. But will I really need to go to a dermatologist and have them extracted? I've also heard that extraction can leave scars or cause the skin to spread further, which worries me. If I do get them extracted, I'm also curious about what additional care I should take to prevent them from recurring. For example, should I use moisturizing, soothing creams, or regenerative creams? It would be helpful if those who have actually tried dermatological treatment for whiteheads could share their experiences after extraction. I know that consistent care is necessary, but I'd like to know what's the most effective method.
