I have red acne marks around my jawline. How do you differentiate between current inflammation and scars during a consultation?

The acne that appeared on my jawline over the past few weeks has subsided, but the red marks have lingered. The photo was taken this afternoon by the window, showing a close-up of the side of my chin.
I am curious how you distinguish between areas where inflammation still remains and traces that have already passed during a consultation. I would also like to know if red marks can lead to pigmentation, and if so, at what point I should start treatment.
I would also like to ask if I need to bring a list of the cleanser, moisturizer, and exfoliator I am currently using before the consultation, and if it is possible to provide care that minimizes irritation without extraction. I would also appreciate guidance on the guidelines for contacting you if temporary redness occurs after treatment, as well as how to schedule my next visit. While individual differences may exist, I am making this inquiry to understand the general guidelines before visiting.
