I've been a bit concerned lately about restoring my skin barrier.
Recently, my skin suddenly started to become more sensitive. I didn't usually have any major breakouts, but as the seasons changed and I spent more time outdoors, my face started to get red and dry easily. At first, I thought it was just dryness and just moisturized more. But after a few days, I started feeling itchy, so I figured my skin barrier wasn't recovering properly.
Even just washing my face makes my skin feel tight, and even a breeze irritates it. It's definitely different than usual. In this situation, it's difficult to just endure it with products, and I think it would be best to get a thorough checkup at a dermatologist, so I'm asking. It seems to me that restoring the skin barrier is the most important step right now. I'm also wondering if I should focus solely on moisturizing, or if treatments like lasers might help.
Especially these days, there are so many treatments like skin barrier recovery programs, regenerative lasers, and acupuncture. I'd like to know which ones are safe for men's skin. I want to avoid harsh treatments and find a way to gently heal only the amount needed. If you could also share with me how your clinic typically assesses and plans, that would be helpful.
