I've been noticing this lately: As I get older, acne pigmentation seems to last much longer than it used to. In the past, even if a pimple did appear, it would fade quickly, but these days, even when the acne subsides, the pigmentation remains.
I don't know if it's really because of my age or if I'm just feeling this way. Sometimes, I feel like the pigmentation from old acne is more noticeable than the new ones, so I get a little worried for no reason. So these days, I'm conscious about not touching my skin with my hands as much as possible, and I'm careful to apply sunscreen in the morning after I do my skincare.
Still, I'm concerned that home care alone won't be enough to address the existing acne pigmentation. I'm also curious if anyone else feels like acne pigmentation lasts longer as they age. Is this just a feeling or is it just a natural state? Could someone who knows please answer?
