Acne treatment pain… Is it very painful? Those who have experienced it, please let me know!

I've been getting constant breakouts around my chin lately, so I'm considering getting an acne treatment. However, now that I'm actually about to go for it, I'm really curious about how painful it actually is. Some people around me say it isn't as painful as they expected, while others say it stings like crazy... I'm really confused about who's right.

You know how people say acne procedures involving extraction are painful, right? I'm quite sensitive to pain, so I'm even more worried. I'm also curious if applying anesthetic ointment helps, and how long the redness or throbbing sensation lasts after the procedure.
