The reason I am getting acne treatment is not just to get rid of the current breakouts, but to prevent them from appearing as frequently in the future. However, I am wondering if receiving treatment really reduces the likelihood of recurrence.
I especially get recurring acne in the same spots around my chin and mouth. Just when I think it's gone, it pops up again, and when it subsides, it appears once more... It's truly an endless cycle, and I'm so exhausted. It feels like it gets better for a while when I just extract the pimples, but since it doesn't feel like a fundamental solution, I've started considering proper acne treatments.
I've heard that acne treatments like Agnes or PDT reduce the sebaceous glands themselves, leading to less recurrence. Is that actually true? The cost is quite high, so I really want to know if it is effective. I would feel so disappointed if I paid for an expensive treatment only to have the same problem recur.
For those who have actually received acne treatment, please share your reviews on whether your breakouts have definitely decreased compared to before!! I'm also curious if you were satisfied enough to choose the same treatment again~~
