I'm so fed up with adult skin trouble. How much should I budget for acne treatments?

My skin was clear even during puberty, but as I've gotten older, pustules have flared up all over my chin and cheeks, making me dread looking in the mirror. They fester worse when I'm tired or when my period is approaching, and squeezing them leaves red and dark scars. It has reached a point where simply applying pads or ointment at home is no longer enough to manage. I am considering signing up for a proper acne treatment package, but with such a wide variety of options—ranging from sebaceous gland-destroying lasers to extraction treatments and scaling—I am at a loss as to how to budget. I don't think this is a problem that can be resolved in just one or two visits, so I need some realistic advice on roughly how much I should invest to see noticeable improvement. It is a significant financial blow since it isn't covered by insurance, but I want to get rid of the inflammation at the root with effective treatments before deep scars form.
