Acne extraction...

I have skin that keeps getting small bumps. How often should I usually get extraction treatments? It got better after one session, but then they came back quickly, so I'm worried. I feel like home care alone has its limits... I'm also confused because I've heard that frequent extractions can enlarge pores.
