If I use relatively gentle cosmetics but acne keeps breaking out, should I change my skincare routine?
I don't know if it's just me, but once my skin starts getting all tangled up, I don't know where to even begin.
In the past, whenever I got breakouts, I would just wash my face more thoroughly and wait a few days, and it would get better. But these days, once one pops up, another one appears, and when that subsides, it leaves a mark. It just keeps going on like this.
So recently, I’ve switched to the mildest cosmetics possible. I’ve reduced the amount of products I apply and am paying attention to cleansing to avoid irritation, but I haven't seen as much of a change as I expected.
At this point, I’m wondering if I need to look into my skin condition itself rather than just the product, so I’m looking into acne skincare.
However, when I thought of acne skincare, only extraction or sebum removal came to mind.
In reality, do you tend to determine the direction of care by looking at the overall condition of the skin to figure out why it keeps breaking out?
Rather than getting rid of every single pimple right now, I really want to break this recurring pattern haha.
Also, I am curious if there are cases where, when the skin is sensitive, you start with a soothing approach rather than using harsh treatments.
Would it be a good idea to simplify and reduce the cosmetics I use at home while receiving treatment?
I'm currently only using relatively mild products, so I'm scared that adding something else might just make it worse haha.
Are there many people who have changed their home care habits along with their acne skincare routine?
I'm also curious about small changes, such as reducing the frequency of washing your face or stopping exfoliation.
I also want to know if there isn't much difference for the first few times, but at some point, the skin stabilizes.
Is it too early to judge immediately after receiving it just once?
If there are any of you who, like me, started acne skincare because you kept getting breakouts despite organizing your cosmetics, please let me know what has changed the most.
I'm also curious if you felt that lifestyle habits were more important than the management itself.
