Is the acne treatment effective even for skin with many whiteheads?

I am considering acne treatment because when I look around my nose and cheeks, I see more white sebum than blackheads.

Even after washing my face thoroughly, small white granules remain inside my pores. If I massage with cleansing oil for a long time, they seem to shrink for a moment, but they reappear after a few days. I haven't been touching them lately because I'm afraid that forcibly squeezing them will turn my skin red and make my pores look even bigger.

Is acne treatment effective even for sebum like these whiteheads? I am wondering if it is necessary to extract them one by one during the treatment process, or if there are ways to manage the condition to prevent sebum from accumulating.

I also want to know if continuing home care alongside acne treatment helps reduce recurrence.
