Is it better to start acne treatment before blemishes leave marks?
I repeatedly get small pimples on the sides of my nose and on my cheeks. Even though they subside quickly, the spots often remain red or dark for a while, so I am considering acne treatment. Currently, I don't have severe scars, but I am worried that if this keeps happening, I will end up with more marks later on.
I'm not sure if it's better to manage it proactively when the problem isn't severe, or if I don't need to touch it if it will improve naturally.
Can I expect effective acne treatment in this condition?
I am wondering if reducing new breakouts through acne treatment can consequently reduce the formation of marks. I would also like to know if acne treatment and the management of existing red marks need to be done separately. If possible, I would like to manage the condition before scars form.
