I'm worried because my face looks thinner due to sunken cheeks.
I am concerned because at some point, the area below my cheekbones started looking sunken. It’s not like I’ve lost a significant amount of weight, but when I take photos, both cheeks look hollow, and my facial contours appear more uneven than before. It looks somewhat okay from the front, but the hollowness seems to be more pronounced when photographed from the side or standing under lighting.
Is sunken cheeks caused simply by a lack of facial fat? Or do factors like decreased skin elasticity or facial structure also play a role? I have considered volume treatments like fillers or Sculptra, but I am not sure if filling them in is always the best option.
I am particularly concerned about sunken cheeks; if the procedure is performed incorrectly, my face might look unnatural or even appear larger. I am also wondering which is more suitable: directly filling the sunken areas with volume or performing a lifting procedure. Since the causes likely vary from person to person, I would appreciate it if the hospital staff could advise on what aspects I should check during the consultation.
