I personally feel that skin is connected to the entire body's circulation. In particular, when my neck and shoulders are tense, blood flow to my face is blocked, causing my complexion to look dull and prone to puffiness. So, I make sure to stretch my neck and shoulders for about 10 minutes every day. By loosening the trapezius muscle and stimulating the lymph nodes, I notice a significant difference in the speed at which facial puffiness subsides.
After stretching, my face feels slightly radiant, and my makeup absorbs better. Before I drag my tired body to my vanity after work, a light workout is like a tonic for my skin. Since I realized that my skin can only rest when my body is relaxed, it's become an indispensable part of my routine.
