I think I have age spots. What kind of laser treatment should I get?
This summer, even though I tried my best to apply sunscreen, my skin turned completely black after just a little outdoor activity. When I looked in the mirror, dark freckles that weren't there before had exploded around my eyes and cheekbones, and I was shocked to see even dark, age-related spots or liver spots creeping up on my temples. My entire skin tone looks dull and messy, making me look much older, and even trying to cover them up with makeup doesn't work.
I found that using whitening cosmetics at home was useless on the dark spots that had already formed. It feels like aging has accelerated rapidly due to the strong UV rays during the summer.
I think the fastest and most effective way is to go to a dermatologist and burn off my age spots and melasma with a laser, but since it's summer, I'm worried that getting a laser might irritate my skin even more. Has anyone visited a dermatologist during the summer due to concerns about age spots or dark melasma? If you have any experiences with whitening/toning treatments or lasers that are safe to undergo even in the summer, please share them with me!
