How to manage pores

I'm concerned that my pores are getting larger these days. I'm asking because I want to know how to properly manage them. Even after washing my face, my pores don't seem to clear up, and cosmetics don't work well. I'd like to know what pore management methods I can do at home and what pore management treatments I can get at a dermatologist. Please recommend effective pore management methods.
