Would it be okay to receive melasma laser toning treatments once a week without putting strain on my skin?
I am currently receiving a consultation to start melasma treatment.
After consulting with them and examining the condition of my melasma, they recommended a schedule of visiting once a week for laser toning in the beginning to see quick results.
However, even if it is a gentle toning laser, I am worried that receiving treatments every week might damage my skin barrier or make it more sensitive. I am even more cautious because I have seen posts mentioning side effects such as darkening melasma or developing redness. Generally, how often is it effective to receive melasma laser treatments?
If anyone has tried receiving it once a week, I earnestly await answers from those with experience regarding whether it caused any strain on the skin, or if an interval of every other week or two weeks would be better.
