How effective and painful is laser hair removal on the philtrum area?
Lately, I've been subtly bothered by my upper lip hair, so I'm seriously considering laser hair removal. Trimming it with shaving or tweezers is a hassle, and it seems to irritate my skin, so I want to take this opportunity to try laser hair removal, but I have a lot of questions.
I am most curious about the level of pain, especially since the skin on the philtrum is thin and sensitive. I am worried because I have heard that it stings a lot or is painful enough to bring tears to your eyes. I would also like to know how many sessions of laser hair removal are required to see satisfactory results.
I would like to know how long the usual interval between procedures is, and whether I can wash my face or apply makeup immediately afterward. I also want to know if there is a risk of redness or breakouts on the philtrum, and if there is any risk of hyperpigmentation. Additionally, I am curious whether the hair disappears completely, or if it simply becomes thinner and grows back at a slower rate.
If anyone has actually received laser hair removal on the upper lip, it would be really helpful if you could share your honest reviews regarding pain, satisfaction, and duration of the results. 😊
