I want to check the condition of my crown to see if it is a summer skin concern or hair loss.
Lately, whenever I dry my hair, the crown of my head feels thinner than before. At first, I thought it was just the lighting, but looking at photos, the area around my part seems a bit wider, so it's bothering me. I'm confused if it looks even more sparse because it's summer, so my scalp sweats a lot and my hair gets greasy quickly. :)
It doesn't seem like I'm losing a lot of hair, but I do feel like the volume on the crown of my head has significantly decreased. When I ask people around me, they say it's fine, but since I keep seeing it, it makes me even more anxious. I've heard that it's important to detect female hair loss early, so I'm considering getting a scalp diagnosis at a dermatology clinic.
Has anyone here had their crown hairline checked? I'm curious how the examination is conducted and if a consultation alone is sufficient. I initially thought it was just a summer skin concern, but I suspect it might be a scalp issue, so I'd like to get it checked before it's too late. :)
