Will the laser treatment for melasma be effective?

I want to start a proper melasma treatment this time, so I am seeking advice.

I have tried every whitening cosmetic product that is supposedly famous, but they were of no use to the deep-seated, dark melasma; they were merely a superficial treatment. I am painfully realizing that there are limits to what folk remedies or regular cosmetics can do when dealing with deep-rooted pigmentation disorders. Consequently, I am deeply conflicted about whether to attempt intensive home care by purchasing melasma creams (containing hydroquinone, like Dominacream) or oral medication (containing tranexamic acid) from a pharmacy, or if it is better to go to a dermatologist and sign up for a laser toning package, even if it costs a bit more.

Is there anyone here who, like me, struggled with severe pigmentation issues but eventually found and settled on a safe and effective melasma treatment method that suits them perfectly?
