What is the most effective way to get rid of whiteheads?

I'm worried because I suddenly have a lot of whiteheads because of the changing seasons. They're not as big as cystic acne, but when I have whiteheads, my skin looks bumpy and my makeup comes off.🥲
So I tried a lot of things to get rid of my whiteheads, but even though exfoliating helped, they often came back.
Is there a limit to how much home care can do to get rid of whiteheads?
I'm also curious if there are any treatments at dermatologists that are effective in getting rid of whiteheads!!
