What is the best treatment for men's melasma that has darkened due to strong summer sunlight?
I usually didn't apply sunscreen properly or just applied it haphazardly because I found it stuffy. Recently, whenever I look in the mirror, I notice that the dark spots and blemishes around my eyes and cheekbones have become noticeably darker. I don't think it was this bad before, but now that the strong UV rays of summer have arrived, I am worried because my overall skin tone has become dull and the pigmentation seems to be getting worse.
Since men's skin is different from women's, I am curious about what precautions should be taken when receiving laser treatments, and what laser procedures are available to effectively remove melasma and blemishes that have suddenly darkened due to strong sunlight, like mine.
If you could also recommend how many repeat sessions are usually needed to see noticeable results, I would like to take this opportunity to get proper care! Please reply. Thank you.
