Will the acne treatment effects last a long time? How long will the results last?
When I was a student, I thought my acne would naturally disappear once I became an adult, but now that I’ve actually gotten older, it keeps popping up, which is causing me stress. In the past, I would only get a few pimples on my forehead or around my nose, but lately, they keep appearing repeatedly on my chin and cheeks as well. Just as one finally subsides, another one pops up in a different spot, so it feels like my skin never gets a break.
So recently, I have been considering whether I should get proper acne treatment. I have tried extracting pimples at home and using functional cosmetics, but the relief is only temporary, and they just come back after a while. I am wondering if receiving treatment would reduce recurring breakouts, or if I need to receive consistent care. Perhaps because it is adult acne, the marks linger longer than before, and my skin texture seems to be getting rougher, which is making me more concerned.
I looked it up online and found that there is a really wide variety of acne treatments. With options ranging from lasers and extractions to medication, I am not sure which method would be right for me. I know that it depends on skin condition, but I would like to hear the experiences of those who have actually undergone acne treatment. I am also curious to know how many sessions were required to see noticeable changes.
In particular, I would like to know the duration of the effects. I am curious whether acne can return after a period of improvement following treatment, or if consistent treatment definitely reduces the frequency of recurrence. I would also like to know if the satisfaction level is high enough to justify the investment of time and money.
If there are any of you who, like me, have continued to struggle with acne even after becoming adults, please share what kind of treatment you received, how effective it was, and any methods that helped you manage your skin. I would like to hear honest stories based on actual experiences rather than promotional reviews. I am especially curious because it seems there are more people than I thought who are stressed about acne even as they age, just like me.
