Do many people need to receive acne treatment consistently for a certain amount of time to see results?

I'm really stressed out these days because I've suddenly been getting a lot of acne on my face. It wasn't that bad even when I was a student, but since becoming an adult, it keeps appearing on my chin and cheeks.

At first, I thought it would get better if I managed it at home, so I changed my cosmetics and paid attention to my cleansing routine, but there wasn't as much change as I expected. So now I am considering whether I should get acne treatment.

I've looked up a lot of acne treatment reviews online. Some people say they saw improvement after just one or two treatments, while others say they saw significant improvement after consistent care for several months, so I'm wondering how long I should expect to take.

My condition hasn't suddenly worsened, but my biggest concern is that it keeps recurring. New breakouts appear and then go away, only to pop up in different spots, and it seems like they are leaving small marks as well. I am wondering if it is right to start acne treatment before it is too late.

Has anyone else received treatment for recurring acne like me? I am curious to know how many sessions you usually received and at what point you noticed a change in your skin.

It would be really helpful for my decision if you could tell me not only the good points but also the downsides. Please leave a comment!
