I am asking this question because I am looking into getting acne treatment for the first time and I am curious about your mindset when you started :)
I have rarely been to a dermatologist, so I kept hesitating about acne treatment and only just started looking into it now.
At first, I thought it would get better if I took care of it at home, but as time passed, it didn't change much; in fact, the marks seemed to be getting worse, so I realized I needed to start taking care of it before it was too late.
But now that I'm actually about to start acne treatment, I'm getting unnecessarily nervous and worried. I'm having all sorts of thoughts: will it be effective? Am I just wasting money? Will my skin get even more sensitive? Haha.
Did anyone else who received acne treatment for the first time have as many concerns as I did? I am curious to know if it was better than expected once you actually received it, or if there were things you wish you had known beforehand.
I would also like to know what change you were most satisfied with after starting acne treatment. I am curious whether you are getting fewer new pimples, if red marks are disappearing faster, or if your skin itself felt healthier.
I would also like to hear if you changed your cosmetics, altered your facial cleansing routine, and if there were any significant changes in your daily habits while receiving treatment.
Since this is my first time, I have so many questions haha. I’m posting this because I think the experiences of those who have actually received the treatment would be the most helpful, rather than just promotional reviews. If you have experience with acne treatment, please feel free to share your thoughts—what went well is fine, but so are any of the things you found disappointing!
