If I get skin care for my bumpy, millet-like acne, will my skin texture improve as well? Haha.
I am more stressed by the bumpy texture I feel when I touch my skin than by the acne itself.
It isn't very noticeable from a distance, but when I look in the mirror up close, I keep seeing small blemishes, and it doesn't feel smooth to the touch.
It was especially visible when I was applying makeup.
Even if I apply a thin layer of base in the morning, it feels like it settles into my skin texture, and by the afternoon, it looks even more bumpy. So, the more I touch up, the messier my skin feels lol.
I tried exfoliating at home, but if I did it even a little too often, it would sting and turn red quickly, so I hardly do it now.
So, I'm looking into getting some acne treatment to see if it might help.
Do you tend to squeeze a lot of bumps on this kind of skin?
Honestly, thinking about having everything extracted makes me scared of the pain, and I'm worried that my skin might look red after the procedure.
When receiving acne treatment, is it not just extraction that is performed, but also exfoliation, sebum control, or soothing treatments based on the skin condition?
I am also curious if it is better to manage skin prone to small bumps in multiple sessions rather than trying to clear them all up at once.
My skin tends to become sensitive immediately if touched too roughly, so I want to take it slow.
I want to know if I can feel a difference in texture after just one or two acne treatments, or if I need to receive them consistently for a few sessions to feel like my skin texture becomes smooth.
Is there a period after the treatment when dead skin cells form or makeup does not apply as well?
Since I have to wear makeup every day for work, the recovery period is also important.
I am also curious about the best way to do basic skincare at home. I would like to know if many people reduce the use of exfoliating or functional products and focus on moisturizing while receiving treatments.
If anyone has started acne skincare due to similarly bumpy skin, please let me know about the pain of extraction and the actual changes in skin texture.
I'm also curious how many times it took before you felt a difference when you looked in the mirror haha.
