Red marks last longer than the acne itself. Can this also be managed with acne skincare?
When I get a breakout, it takes much longer for the mark to fade than for the blemish to disappear.
The acne itself subsides to some extent after a few days, but the red marks remain for several weeks, so the skin always looks patchy.
Even on days when there isn't much new breakout, my skin doesn't look clear because of the old marks, so it's actually quite stressful.
I'm especially self-conscious about it when I'm not wearing makeup haha
I can cover them with concealer when I apply makeup, but if I try to cover every single blemish, the base becomes too thick, and over time, they all show through again.
So these days, I'm thinking it might be better to try getting acne treatment rather than buying new cosmetics.
What I'm wondering is whether it's possible to manage current acne and old red marks at the same time.
First, I am wondering if I need to manage acne marks separately after the new breakouts have completely stabilized, or if it can be done simultaneously with acne skin care.
I still get new breakouts occasionally, so if I just manage the marks, it feels like it will never end if new ones keep popping up.
I'm wondering if consistent care not only fades the marks but also reduces the frequency of new ones appearing.
I don't expect big changes after just once or twice, but I hope that if I do it consistently for a few months, my skin will look more even than before, even without makeup haha.
I would also like to know how you handled home care.
I've tried various functional products because of the marks, but there are days when my skin stings, so right now I'm just using moisturizer and sunscreen.
I'm also wondering if it's good to keep things this simple even when getting acne treatments.
I would also like to know if I need to pay more attention to UV protection after treatment.
If there are any of you who, like me, started acne skincare because of the long-lasting marks rather than the current breakouts, how long did it take you to notice any changes?
I am especially curious about the experiences of those who have tried managing new acne and existing marks at the same time.

CommentsIt seems wise of you to be cautious with exfoliation when your cheeks feel tight and red due to the heating. I would also like to take your advice on whether I should consult about soothing care or a skin booster first.220026.11.03 - 03CommentsIt’s amazing that you’ve consistently managed with just soothing care without touching your hands. I’ll check the reply when it comes up regarding whether the extraction comes first or if the peeling is done together.200026.11.03

- 03CommentsIt would be difficult to determine the required number of sessions from the start, as it varies depending on the level of inflammation, the presence of scars, and management goals. It would make comparisons easier if you asked about the timing of the interim evaluation and the criteria for modifying the plan during the consultation.530026.10.28
