Would it be helpful to change my facial cleansing method when I start acne skincare?
I might be the type of person whose problem is washing my face too vigorously lol
Because I believe I need to wash thoroughly if I get breakouts, I wash my face meticulously morning and evening, and on days when I wear makeup, I tend to go through a multi-step cleansing routine.
However, at some point, there started to be many days when my skin felt tight and turned red after washing my face.
But if I reduce the amount of face washing, I feel uneasy, so I end up washing my face thoroughly again.
I'm wondering if these habits have made my skin more sensitive, so while looking into acne skincare, I'm thinking of changing my cleansing routine as well.
For those of you receiving acne treatment, have you also changed your cleansing habits?
I've seen people who just rinse with water in the morning, and others who wash briefly with a mild cleanser; I'm curious which method you found more comfortable.
I preferred products with strong cleansing power because I was worried about excessive sebum, but I wondered if such products might actually make my skin drier.
Would it be better to switch to the mildest facial cleanser possible while receiving treatment?
I am also wondering if it is better not to use things like cleansing oil or exfoliating pads as usual right after acne treatment.
I wear makeup often, so it's difficult for me to keep my cleansing routine completely simple.
Still, if it can improve my skin, I am willing to change my habits a little.
Has anyone noticed fewer breakouts or felt their skin become more comfortable after changing their facial cleansing method?
While acne skin care itself is important, I think it might be difficult for the effects to last long if you keep irritating your skin at home.
So this time, instead of just getting the treatment and stopping there, I plan to get a proper overview of my cleansing and basic skincare routine as well.
For those of you who actually changed your cleansing habits while starting acne skincare, please tell me what you addressed first.
I'm also curious if there are any people who say their skin has actually improved even though they wash less than before lol.
