I'm struggling with adult skin problems, so I'm planning to start acne treatment in earnest.

I never had any skin trouble even during my school days, but it suddenly exploded in my 30s. At first, I neglected it, thinking just a pimple or two would pop up and then go away. However, as I became stressed and worked late more frequently, red, hard, pustular breakouts started spreading to my chin and cheeks. Trying to cover them up with makeup only made them worse, and trying to squeeze them myself at home left me with hyperpigmentation and even scars. Every time I looked in the mirror, I felt like I was going to get depressed. It had reached a level that was completely beyond what home care could handle, so I decided I needed proper acne treatment and stopped by a clinic on my way home from work.

The consultation manager and the director thoroughly checked my skin condition and told me that it was typical adult acne caused by a sudden increase in sebum production combined with clogged pores and inflammation resulting from improper exfoliation. They recommended that people with my skin condition are the perfect candidates for acne treatment and created a plan that combined scaling to remove old dead skin cells with anti-inflammatory injections and extraction care. They explained everything so logically and kindly that I almost felt cheated for having suffered in silence all this time. Haha.

I lay down in the treatment room and first received a thorough cleansing, followed by the application of a medication that gently dissolves dead skin cells. They mentioned it might sting slightly, but it was a pleasant, bearable sensation. Then came the moment of truth: extraction... The esthetician turned on the lights and painstakingly found and squeezed out every single hidden sebum and inflammation one by one, and I honestly teared up a little. However, perhaps because it was the touch of a professional, they extracted only the sebum seeds without causing infection, which felt incredibly refreshing. The director came over to give an anti-inflammatory injection to the large, inflamed areas; I was relieved to hear that it would subside within a few days. Haha.

Finally, after receiving the soothing pack and regenerative laser treatment, my flushed face felt much calmer. I came home, applied the ointment they gave me, and slept soundly. When I woke up the next day, I was amazed to see that the large pus on my chin had noticeably subsided. I was told that acne treatment isn't something that ends all at once, but rather requires consistently normalizing the sebum cycle. So, I plan to patiently keep coming in once a week. For those of you struggling with adult skin troubles like me, I highly recommend visiting a clinic as soon as possible to start treatment rather than trying to handle it on your own!
