I'm curious as to why the water is replaced every 2-3 days even though it's not cold.

I'm the person who asked the question right below.
I'm curious as to why you're replacing the Duoderm even though there's no water in it.
I know that it is usually better not to replace the Duoderm frequently, and some places say that you only need to replace it every 3 to 5 days.
Why do I need to change the Duoderm even though it is not particularly dirty or full of pus?
