I have a question about the anesthetic cream used for hair removal.

You apply anesthetic cream, wipe it off, and then go get your hair removed, right?
But the anesthetic cream didn't come off at all. Maybe because I only washed it off with water.
I tried to do that but it didn't work so I just wiped it with a tissue. I was wondering if it would be okay to use cleansing foam.
