My skin barrier breaks down in the winter and I'm stressed. Is there any way to fix it?
It seems like my skin gets especially tough in the winter.
Is it because of the heater? My skin is getting drier, and with the cold winds adding to the dryness, I feel it becoming more sensitive. That's why I tend to feel more stressed about my skin every time the seasons change.
These days, I'm wondering whether I should get laser treatment or other treatments from a dermatologist, or whether it would be better to just help my skin recover slowly with moisturizing and soothing treatments.
When your skin is weak, it quickly turns red and breaks out even with small stimuli, so you have to be more careful.
I'm not sure if a strong treatment would help or if it would actually make things worse if the barrier was damaged.
If there are people like me who have had a hard time with their skin barrier breaking down in the winter, it would be helpful if you could share how you managed and recovered your skin.
